In early 2009 the East Bay firm started negotiating a deal with then-owner Hines to renew and downsize its lease at 2000 Powell St., part of the Watergate complex in Emeryville. Six months later the talks hit a major bump when Hines went into default on the property.

Cantaloupe Systems chooses S.F. over Oakland
Cantaloupe Systems is trading the East Bay for a San Francisco address.
The fast-growing Berkeley company, which creates wireless data systems for vending machines, has leased about 8,500 square feet at 613 Howard St. in the tech-friendly South of Market. September 28, 2007

For SEIU Local 790

Richlen Construction purchased 546 Bryant Street for $1,900,000. The 4,000 sf, two-story building is fully code compliant and will serve as the company’s San Francisco headquarters. New San Franciscio Headquarters
For SEIU Local 790

SEIU Local 790, one of Northern California’s largest unions, has signed a 10-year lease, with an option to extend, at 350 Rhode Island Street to relocate its San Francisco headquarters. Josie Mooney, Executive Director of the 40,000 + member Public Employee Union, announced that the current schedule is to make the transition in October 2006. Local 790, presently located at Fox Plaza, will occupy 25,308 rsf of the ground floor of the South Building at 350 Rhode Island.
Spanish Broadcasting System Is On the Air
Spanish Broadcasting System, Inc., (SBS) has purchased a local signal and is now on the air in the San Francisco Bay Area. KRZZ 93.3 FM - La Raza- went on the air in late November 2004 broadcasting temporarily from Bonneville Broadcasting's studios at 400 Second Street. Mike Tobin of Pacific Union Commercial Brokerage, SBS's real estate consultant, announced that SBS has executed a ten year lease for the 23 rd, and top floor, at 455 Market Street. Olivia Cruses & Resorts closed escrow on 434 Brannan Street on June 11th. The three story 25,634 square foot building and parking lot, originally built in 1929 by Schilling Spices as a production facility, will now serve as Olivia's national headquarters. Susquehanna Radio Corp. has renegotiated its current lease and extended it for an additional seven years. Mike Tobin of Pacific Union Commercial Brokerage, who represented Susquehanna, said the York, Pennsylvania based national radio group saved more than $2M in doing so. Bonneville to Relocate
Bonneville International Corporation will be consolidating and relocating the administration, sales and production facilities of KOIT, KDFC and KZBR to Convention Plaza. They have signed a ten year lease for the 27,400 square foot top floor at 201 Third Street.
